Sire & Dam

Sire
Oxium do Vale da Prata

A barely 14.1H black stallion of incredible centered gait and cheerful personality, imported from Brazil and the original poster boy for the US Mangalarga Marchador Association. Primarily the product of Haras Porto Azul — the pooling of multiple traditional and classic bloodlines.

Dam
Nikita do Campo Real

A 16.1H bay mare of batida gait descended primarily from Abaiba bloodlines, best known for her size and power.

— Story

Consentida was born bay but changed to black by a year of age (she still carries a rusty tint to the hair under her belly). She grew to 16H, but unlike her mom's lumbering batida, Consentida's batida is like flowing oil — extension, overreach, and natural collection that mark the ideal traditional marcha.

Unlike many Mangalarga Marchadors, she easily carries a 6ft man or a rider over 200 lbs. Moreso than any of our other breeding stock, her conformation is a throwback to the Alto Real stallions that founded the Mangalarga Marchadors — bearing a resemblance to modern day Lusitanos and Andalusians.

She holds a unique niche in American breeding, with potential to inculcate great gait and increased height and mass. She has already produced a 15H pure picada, pure black stallion sharing her conformation, and recently a golden dun stud colt — already taller than his brother at this age, looking to carry modern show-quality batida.

Consentida remains as Jake's favorite riding mare, easily able to carry a big man and still cover difficult terrain, with potential as a hunter/jumper for a different rider. She's on the sales list because all of our horses are available for sale.

Sire & Dam

Sire
Ninja de Sao Joaquim

Pure black 15.1H regional champion Brazilian stallion of Abaiba bloodlines — both batida and picada gaited. Ninja sired nearly 50 children in Brazil (3/4 male); 1/5 competed at regional and national championship levels, and 2/3 of those competitors were his daughters.

Dam
Fiesta do Campo Real

14.3H bright bay, Brazilian imported, picada / centered batida, Conde Trimonte lineage. A proven producer of picada and doubly-gaited progeny — and still a lesson horse at 26 years young.

— Story

When Allegria was born, she sauntered up — head high, eyes bright, ears forward — and said "Hello. Let's play." Nothing can dim this mare's bright confidence or open, welcoming ways.

Her tall, athletic, classically Mangalarga Marchador physique glows with vitality… and then you notice just how muscled and crested that high, arched neck is, how deep the chest, how well-sloped the shoulders fit to long humeri (for great extension), the strength in those hindquarters, the long legs with great overreach. She is definitely a mare — a tall mare with incredible picada gait — and more horse than most Mangalarga Marchador stallions.

Allegria was trained for competition by Alessandra Deerinck (Human Horse Sensing). Under Alessandra she led the US Marchadors in completing 25-mile endurance rides, exhibited in both classic and cowboy dressage, competed in trail obstacles, and was US National Champion Mare at the 2014 Las Vegas show. She represented Mangalarga Marchadors in the American Endurance Ride Conference's delegation at the 2016 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA.

Allegria could be bred next spring — either to Claudia Bellandi's Delmug Dos Bugres or with imported frozen semen from a Brazilian picada stallion. The right rider will find an all-around riding horse, and especially an endurance horse beyond compare. We won't part with her for just anyone — we'd love to see her become pivotal in a riding, competing, and breeding network centered on Rancho de los Cielos. She is for sale, could be a partnership, could be a sponsored sale for exhibition / competition or for a breeding partnership.

Sire
Avatar de los Cielos

15.2H golden dun batida / picada stallion by Abaiba x Tabatinga and Herdade bloodlines.

Dam
Consentida do Cascade

16H black batida mare of Herdade lines — powerful, smooth-gaited, and already proven as a producer.

— Story

Firstborn son of Avatar de los Cielos and Consentida do Cascade, El Milagro was bred by Jake and Theresa as one of Rancho de los Cielos' Designer Foals — the kind of horse they would be proud to keep for themselves, even though he was bred for sale.

He was bred with Jake in mind: a horseman since childhood whose last 21 years have been spent breeding, training, and trail riding gaited horses, mostly Mangalarga Marchadors. The man has no quit in him. He'll be 63 years old, a little shrunk down from 5'10" but likely still 200+ pounds when El Milagro is ready to ride. The horse for that man had better grow up taller than most Mangalarga Marchadors, serious, calm, and willing in demeanor, and built to glide over rugged terrain in a natural four-beat gait with no frills and pure power.

The gait he's got. Today. The size is coming. His willing heart, confidence, and integrity point to an easy horse to train, with the versatility to range through both picada (slower, lateral) and batida (faster, diagonal) before reaching a gallop.

We expect him to grow up gentle enough for your grandchildren — but we hope he goes to a warrior, or someone who was one, or who dreams of being one.
